Our 7th Annual Ugly Duckling Quilt Contest
If you'd like to partICIPATE here is what you must do:
1. Get your Pattern & Fabric in February. Deb designed this quilt for 2024. It is called "Boxed In" and measures 38"x38".
2. Make a quilt top.
3. Have your top completed & returned to the shop by April 13th.
4. Quilts will be displayed & voted on by our customers during our Spring Open House.
PLEASE NOTE:
-ALL fabrics MUST be purchased from Simply Stashing.
-This is a change from previous years; we want you to submit a quilt top ONLY.
DO NOT quilt your top. This keeps the playing field even so that beginners have a chance.
-In the past there have been contestants who have sent their friends to the shop to vote for their quilt. THIS IS NOT FAIR. We try very hard to keep things anonymous so that you DO NOT know who the quilter is. If we witness this happening, you will be disqualified.

The 2024 collection's standout feature is a large panel showcasing mini panels of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, West Virginia, and Virginia. The panel is bordered with a stripe displaying each state's flag. Additionally, there are seven complementary prints inspired by the panel's imagery, including birds, figs, flowers, landmarks, trees/animals, and a words and image toss. Also, beautiful coordinating blenders are available.
